Here’s a rare opportunity to pick up an original 2002 Gene Baker guitar. Gene had a storied history in both the Gibson and Fender custom shops before striking out on his own and building instruments that were in the forefront of the boutique electric guitar movement. The original Bakers, built by Gene, are prized guitars, and not to be confused with the guitars made in Korea after the infamous Ed Roman took over the brand. This guitar features a beautiful tightly flamed maple top with a faded cherry sunburst, mahogany core, and easy upper fret access with the double cutaway design. Weighing in at a comfortable 8.5 pounds, the guitar has individual pickup volumes plus a master tone control with a pull for coil tap gives this guitar a great Les Paul vibe but a split personality when you split the pickups for some single coil goodness. In terrific condition, with the original orange hardshell case and certificate of authenticity. Not many lefty Bakers floating around, grab yourself a great guitar.
