I’ve been lucky enough to play some very fine electric guitars, but in my mind there isn’t a finer semi-hollow guitar out there than the Collings I-35. The I-35 LC uses high quality laminate construction to faithfully reproduce the vintage tone of the original Gibsons. An outstanding guitar, with figured top and back, and mahogany neck with a long mortoise and tenon neck joint, maple center block, nitrocellulose lacquer finish, medium-fat C neck, 22 frets, 24 7/8 scale, bone nut, Lollar Imperial low-wind pickups, Kluson bridge and tailpiece and a beautiful faded cherry finish. They just don’t get any better. Lifetime warranty from Collings and a deluxe Ameritage hardshell case. Serial # I35LC262644
Collings sez: “The I-35 LC features a maple laminate top, sides, and back, the result of a custom-laminated construction process that Bill Collings and his R&D team developed in pursuit of the best tonal qualities of semi-hollow guitar design. Crafted to respond acoustically in perfect harmony with its electronics, the design and technique used for our “LC” models has provided another unique way for us to voice our instruments for superior response and tone.”
