I’m a big fan of Waterloo guitars by Collings … unfortunately, as a dealer I have been unable to order any inventory guitars for several years and it’s unclear if that will change. So here is a really rare opportunity for a custom one-off Waterloo WL-14 X, finished in satin black and customized with an Adirondack spruce top, long saddle, back binding and rosewood bridge. Large V neck, no pickguard. One of a kind guitar. Note the Collings photos in the gallery.

About Waterloo: Collings quality with minimalist aesthetics, harkening back to vintage tone of the original Kalamazoo guitars. The WL-14 is the flagship model of the Waterloo guitar line and the inspiration that started it all. This guitar is in the black finish with a white pickguard, and is X-braced with an adjustable trussrod.  Solid spruce tops, solid mahogany bodies, rosewood fretboards, 1.75 ebony nut, bone saddles, Golden Age Restoration tuners and a semi-gloss nitro finish. Waterloos are made at the Collings facility in Austin, TX — “Waterloo” was the name of the village which eventually grew into Austin. With hardshell case.
