Here’s a Fender Custom Shop 59 JazzMaster. This version is lightly reliced — a Journeyman relic in Fender’s parlance.  Lead and rhythm circuits, plus 3 way selector, master volume and tone, give you some nice tonal options. Aged fiesta red finish evokes the era.

Originally designed for jazz guitarists, the Jazzmaster was quickly adopted by surfers and punks who were drawn to the offset, contoured body, new vibrato system and flexible electronics. The 1959 Journeyman Relic Jazzmaster brings the vintage style, sound and feel of those exciting musical times into the modern era.

A pair of hand-wound Jazzmaster pickups crank out rich, throaty tone with enough power to slash through a mix. Vintage wiring and controls, including the classic rhythm circuit, shape the pickups’ voice to unlock your creativity. The Journeyman Relic lacquer finish lets the body wood breathe with pure Fender tone while looking (and feeling) like a well-loved guitar that’s been broken-on over hundreds of gigs.

Other features include a two-piece select alder body, tinted rift-sawn maple neck with Jazzmaster “C”-shaped profile, 9.5”-radius slab rosewood fingerboard, 21 6105 frets, four-ply nitrocellulose tortoiseshell pickguard, vintage-style bridge, tailpiece and tuning machines, bone nut and wing string tree. Includes deluxe hardshell case, strap and Certificate of Authenticity. Nice and light, just an ounce over 7 1/2 pounds.
