The Telecaster Custom upgraded the workhorse Telecaster with an elegant double-bound body. The 1963 Telecaster Custom Relic updates this classic design with modern touches to make it even more playable.
The double-bound two-piece body is constructed from hand-selected alder, chosen for its weight and grain pattern. Two hand-wound Custom Shop Twisted Tele pickups grace the top, kicking out high-output, smoking tone that’s further shaped by modern wiring, including our slick, volume-preserving Greasebucket tone circuit.
Other features include a Journeyman Relic lacquer finish with Closet Classic hardware, tinted quartersawn Heavy Relic maple neck with 1963 “C”-shaped profile, 9.5”-radius round-lam rosewood fingerboard, 21 6105 frets, three-ply parchment pickguard, ‘58/’63 bridge with threaded saddles, vintage-style tuning machines with Fender logo, bone nut and wing string tree. Includes deluxe hardshell case, strap and Certificate of Authenticity.
