I don’t think you can ever own too many Teles, but it’s always nice to have one with a different tonal palette. This gently used super lightweight (under 6.5 pounds) limited edition Caballo Tono Ligero (“light tone horse” gives you just that with a pair of TV Jones pickups and an eye-catching magenta sparkle finish. Saddle up!

The Caballo Tono Ligero  is a customized creation only found in the Fender Custom Shop, which plays host to extraordinary features not found in classical Fender fashion. The lightweight, resonant hollow ash body features an f-hole and has a perfectly worn-in relic lacquer finish. A stunning one-piece 3A flame maple neck with a 10/56 “V” profile and 9.5” fingerboard radius wears narrow-tall (6105) frets for comfortably precise playing.

A pair of chrome T.V. Jones pickups offer an uncommon growl right between a bright single-coil and a dark humbucker, providing a perfectly personal tone. A three-way switch and Fat ’50s Tele wiring with 500K pots provide balance and complementary response between the pickups. Additional features include a single-ply parchment Caballo Tono pickguard, sawed-off Tele bridge with compensated brass RSD saddles, Sperzel Deluxe tuning machines with pearl buttons, bone nut, and a vintage disc string tree. Includes a deluxe hardshell case, strap, and certificate of authenticity.
