Hear is a near mint and barely played 2022 Gibson ES-335, in a cherry finish. With original brown hardshell case and everything it came with including a production picture. Still looks new. Best thing about this particular guitar is the original Gibson T-Type humbuckers were upgraded to the excellent (and very expensive) Throbak ESG-102B pickups. These go for $829 a set new. Original pickups are included, but you won’t want to change these.
Throbak sez: “The ThroBak ESG-102B, P.A.F. humbucker clones are copies of late P.A.F. and early P.A.F. spec. Pat.# pickups of the early 60’s. Copied directly from a ’64 SG the ESG-102B P.A.F. humbuckers have the same average 7.5k resistance and short A5 bridge, short A2 neck magnet combination typical of P.A.F. pickups of this era. Wound on our vintage Leesona 102B for the ultimate in vintage winding accuracy, these P.A.F. clones have the same snarl and bite in the bridge and acoustic depth in the neck of the original P.A.F. pickups installed in vintage ES-335 and SG guitars of this era. If you want the period correct pickups for your early ’60’s ES or SG style guitars the the ESG-102B Pickups are it!”
Gibson sez:
“The Gibson ES-335 is the perfect blend of form and function. Crafted with a maple centerblock and quarter-sawn Adirondack spruce bracing, players will be impressed by the lightweight feel and expanded range of tonal capabilities. Equipped with high-end appointments like our hand-wired control assembly with Orange Drop® capacitors, Gibson’s new Calibrated T-Type humbucking pickups, Vintage Deluxe style tuners and light weight aluminum ABR-1 bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece anchored with steel thumb-wheels and studs. ”
