Here’s a rare 2017 Gibson Limited Edition Big Sky Blue Hummingbird. The guitar is in nice condition, with some light play wear, and what appears to be two small finish checks on either side of the endpin that show up as white lines (see photos). These checks do not emit any light and the underside of the top looks fine. Equipped with Baggs electronics, with the end pin installed separate from the jack. Original hardshell case. Let’s just say you are unlikely to encounter another lefty like this one. Make a statement on the stage or your couch.

Introduced in 1960 as Gibson’s first square shouldered acoustic, the Hummingbird was embraced by everyone from Keith Richards to Gram Parsons and quickly became a staple in folk, country and rock. I love the short 24.75 scale on this guitar, the bass is big and round and the guitar has that unmistakable Gibson sound. Sitka top, mahogany back and sides, rosewood bridge and fretboard, parallelogram block inlays, and that bright blue finish. Grover tuners, hide glue neck joint, Grover tuners and a hardshell case. Built by the Gibson Custom Shop in Bozeman, Montana. A classic.
