Here’s a 2019 Martin Authentic 1931 OM-28 in beautiful condition, adirondack spruce top with Martin’s VTS (Vintage Tone System, otherwise known as torrefaction) applied to both the top and the adirondack spruce braces. Back and sides are Madagascar rosewood; the bracing is the Authentic 1931 pattern. The solid ebony fingerboard features diamond and square inlays; the ebony bridge is the Authentic belly style with a long saddle. Tuners are Waverley nickel. The guitar is finished in Martin’s Vintage Gloss finish, a thin nitro lacquer that is not buffed to the typical high gloss but hearkens to an a finish that has mellowed with age. Note that the Martin logo is absent from the Madagascar headstock on the Authentic 1931 and is instead embossed into the back of the headstock. Full specs below. Terrific OM.
