Here’s an unplayed Pre War Guitars Co. dreadnought, torrified Adirondack top, Honduran mahogany neck, back and sides, with Torti binding. Customized with a shade top finish, speed neck option, Holter pickguard and brilliantly worn in and aged. Two-way truss rod, hide glue, dovetail neck joint, torrified bracing, ebony fretboard and bridge bone nut and saddle, and a hardshell case. I have a personal single 0 in Brazilian rosewood from these guys and I will never part with it. Remarkable guitars. They are prized by artists like Tommy Emmanuel, Jackson Browne, David Grisman and Molly Tuttle, and they are approaching a 3 year wait on new orders. Hard to believe it’s not older than your grandpa. And huge tone, big bass, crisp response. Monster guitar. And, best of all, no waiting!
Pre-War Guitars Co. sez: “The classic tone of a vintage mahogany dreadnought: feather weight, dry and clear, with some sweetness around the edge. Tremendous punch with a rainbow of tone colors that changes as you dig in. It can be soft; it can be loud….Or anything in between. Like all pre-war mahogany dreads, it loves a good mike—on stage or in the studio—and it feels like it belongs in your hands from the first moment you pick it up. We utilize hot hide glue for all of the bracing as well as in our perfectly fit traditional dovetail neck joints. We use Torrefied tops and hand carved Torrefied brace wood for their dry-aged tone. You get a guitar with the soul, sound, and look of a well-loved vintage instrument, but with the price, adjust-ability, and reliability of a modern guitar.”
