Here’s a unique and beautiful 2013 PRS Private Stock Santana 2 with some terrific custom touches. The guitar has a stunner of a quilted maple top, accented by a color the owner devised, and PRS named Private Stock Purple Glow. Violet at the edges, glowing toward Angry Larry at the center. We have a sinker mahogany neck (Pattern Regular carve) with a rich cocobolo fretboard and headstock overlay. The owner chose to do the bird inlays, Private Stock Eagle and body purflings in crushed mother of pearl, and the Santana OM inlay is placed tastefully on the neck heel. The back of the guitar has a subtle and beautiful burst to accent the African Ribbon mahogany, and matching wood backplates. Pickups are Santanas, and a coil tap was added to double the tonal options on the guitar. Woods were tap toned and handpicked from the PRS Wood Library in Maryland. Nice weight at 7 pounds 10 ounces … enough for great sustain but still light enough to be comfortable in your hands. This guitar was built for and owned by a collector, and shows and plays as new. A stunner. With brown Private Stock leather case with a custom red interior.
