Here is a rare and beautiful near-mint 2015 Paul Reed Smith SC58 singlecut with a killer flamed top. I picked the woods for this guitar personally at the PRS Private Stock vault. We chose a dynamite top for this guitar, which has a satin nitro charcoal finish offset with black binding and a swamp ash back, which has a whitewash finish with black grain fill. Super distinctive and unique. The neck is east Indian rosewood which has a great feel, and a pattern regular carve. Inlays are the 20th Anniversary birds in paua with white mother of pearl outlines, and a paua Modern Eagle on the headstock. There is a mother of pearl treble clef inlay at the first fret. The guitar has 59/09 pickups with zebra bobbins (or "squobbins," as PRS calls them), a coil tap push-pull on the tone controls, two piece bridge and tailpiece, curly maple headstock veneer, ebony pickup surrounds, knobs and switch tip. A unique build and one of a very few lefty Singlecuts in existence. With PRS Private Stock fitted case. Private Stock certificate is digital only on this one (but you can print it out). SaleHuss and Dalton makes some fine guitars by hand in Staunton VA, and I have long been partial to their dreads. This is a TD-R (traditional) customized with a red spruce top, and east Indian rosewood back and sides. Here is a 2007 Paul Reed Smith Private Stock McCarty, with a beautiful "blistered" quilted maple top, solid Brazilian rosewood neck, snakewood fingerboard, South American mahogany body, in a copperhead finish. The bird and Private Stock eagle inlays are snakewood with 14 karat gold outlines. Tuner buttons are snakewood as well. The guitar has McCarty pickups and electronics and a Custom 22 neck carve. Plays like a dream. Shows some play wear as you might expect on a 17-year-old instrument that has been well loved. Some oxidation of the gold hardware. Overall, a super nice and super cool guitar. Beautiful chocolate sunburst on this 58 Tele, and I love how the ash grain shows through. SaleHere is a lightly played Gibson Custom Shop 52 J-185 ... terrifc jumbo, but not quite as large as the J-200 which makes it a little more comfortable on the couch. It's pretty rare for me to stock lefty basses, but this is not your average bass. Here's a Fender Custom Shop 59 Vintage Custom Strat in NOS sonic blue with a mint green pickguard and rosewood fretboard. One of my favorite color combos. Here is Lefty Guitars Only's latest exclusive Wood Library run from PRS. This is a McCarty, with a a flamed maple top, in orange tiger. Back and neck are mahogany, the fingerboard and headstock overlay is Brazilian rosewood, neck carve is Pattern, with green ripple abalone old school birds. Pickups are the coveted 58/15 LT. 3-way switching with a pull on the tone control for coil tap. Patrick James Eggle builds wonderful boutique instruments in his shop in Oswestry, U.K. He uses the best of everything -- Callaham and Kluson hardware, Gotoh tuners, true lefty pots, Jescar 55090 frets (6105 found on Fenders and Gibsons) -- and does a beautiful thin open pore nitro finish on the swamp ash bodies for great tone on a very lightweight guitar. This example, in black with white grainfill -- is just under 7 pounds. The pickguard is brass with a unique hand patina. Neck is roasted AAA curly maple with a comfortable soft V profile and contoured heel. Patrick also reverses the control plate to make the volume pot more accessible for swells. Artists who have played Eggle guitars include Tommy Iommi, Albert Lee and Rory Gallagher. Handsome grey hardshell case. Just a terrific guitar. Very tempted to keep it for myself.
