It’s probably safe to say that I’ve helped more lefty customers build their dream Paul Reed Smith Private Stock guitars than anyone else. (I can build one for you, too.) Way back when (2013), I managed to convince the Private Stock department to build me singlecut guitars, paying the development cost to do so, and ordering three out of the gate. This one was the first ... an SC-245, with a gorgeous one-piece quilted maple top, in aquamarine, with a solid Brazilian neck, Brazilian fingerboard, Brazilian headstock veneer, and stone azurite chtysacola inlays with 10 karat gold outlines. The pickups have been upgraded to the venerable 58/15 LTs, and they are individually splittable by pulling the tone controls. Nice and light, just under 8 pounds. With original case, which has some miles on it. The guitar is in nice condition, some light play wear and a couple of small dents on the pickup covers. A little piece of lefty Private Stock history. Getting these singlecuts built opened the door to building five Hollowbody 2 guitars, and now they will make me pretty much anything. Condition: Excellent; Body: African ribbon mahogany with a one-piece quilted maple top; Neck: Sold Brazilian rosewood, Pattern carve, Brazilian fretboard; Pickups: PRS 58/15 LT; Scale: 24.5; Lefthanded guitar (of course)

Here's a new Collings I-35 LC Vintage in aged jet black. I’ve been lucky enough to play some very fine electric guitars, but in my mind there isn’t a finer semi-hollow guitar out there than the Collings I-35. And now they've made it even better: Collings sez: "After several years in development and numerous prototype iterations, we are excited to introduce an I-35 like you've never experienced before — the new I-35 LC Vintage. Drawing inspiration from the best instruments of the 1960s, our newest offering in the I-35 lineup provides an exceptionally loose and organic feel, achieved through a ground up reworking of everything from its laminate and center block recipes to its neck construction. Custom Throbak pickups and Bumblebee capacitors bring its open, acoustic response to life, expanding its versatility and proving that, although it looks every bit the part of a time-tested instrument, its appeal is more than just skin deep." Semi-hollow construction: In order to achieve the loose feel and dynamic response of a long-played vintage instrument, we fully reengineered our laminate and center block recipes for the I-35 LC Vintage. Electronics: Era-appropriate while delivering clarity at every volume is a set of Throbak ESG-102B humbuckers tweaked to a custom Collings spec specifically for the I-35 LC Vintage, all complemented by a set of Luxe Bumblebee capacitors. Aged Finish and Hardware: Every I-35 LC Vintage sports our aged finish and aged hardware, an in-house developed process designed to give a truly time-worn look and feel. An altered truss rod curve and carefully chosen materials specific to the Vintage based on grain orientation, weight, and density are just a couple of the aspects that contribute to its expressive and organic feel and tone. Vintage Appointments: Gold or black reflector top knobs and a wide-bevel 3-ply pickgurard complement the aged finish and hardware and three vintage-inspired color options. They just don’t get any better. Lifetime warranty from Collings and a deluxe hardshell case. Serial # I35LC252475 Condition: New, aged; Body: Maple laminate; Neck: Mahogany, rosewood fretboard, 12 radius; Nut: 1 11/16; Color: Aged jet black; Pickups: Throbak; Scale: 24 7/8; Orientation: Lefthanded (of course)

I don't get a lot of basses here, but I like this one a lot, it's a 1975 Fender Precision bass with some modifications. Structurally it's fine, cosmetically in very good condition, some honest dings, wear and chips as you would expect on a 5o year old instrument, a Fender USA gold bridge (original nickel bridge is in the case), gold Schaller tuners, gold knobs and La Bella nylon tape wrapped strings. This one is a player, and it's set up beautifully and sounds great. Custom pickguard has a small crack near one screw hole. Holes remain from the removal of the original tuners, which no longer accompany the bass, as well as where the thumb rest was removed (also absent). Original knobs are included. This one's a player bass, at home in the studio or on the road, and it has that classic P Bass sound in spades. Love the strings, super comfortable and have that deep vintage tone. With case which looks to be the original, plenty of wear but still serviceable. Condition: Very good; Body: Alder; Neck: Maple; Color: 3 color burst; Scale: 34; Orientation: Lefthanded (of course)

Here's a Fender Custom Shop 59 Vintage Custom hardtail Strat in NOS sonic blue with a mint green pickguard and nice dark rosewood fretboard. One of my favorite color combos. Fender sez: "1959 saw the advent of several important feature changes to the Stratocaster® including a slab rosewood fingerboard with clay position dots, a three-ply mint green pickguard with 8, 9 or 10 screws depending on the month it was built, and a metal spacer added to the string tree. This hardtail version would have been on the rare side, which ups the collectability and cool factors. This guitar features a hand-selected two-piece alder body and a rift-sawn maple neck with a 1959 "D" profile, a vintage compound-radius (7.25" - 9.5") AAA rosewood fingerboard and 21 medium vintage frets. 1967’s Summer of Love and Flower Power movement influenced mainstream fashions worldwide, and Fender was on board with its new Paisley Telecasters. Oddly enough, the guitars became more popular with rockabilly and country western players (they were adopted most famously by Tele master James Burton) rather than the flower children that helped inspire them. These guitars have earned a special place in Fender history, and the Fender Custom Shop Vintage Custom 1968 Paisley Tele models are faithful recreations of those original instruments. The two-piece select alder body wears an NOS lacquer finish with WLS undercoat over the famous Paisley or Blue Flower motif. The rift-sawn maple neck has a ’60-style “oval C” profile, topped by a round-lam rift-sawn maple fingerboard with 7.25”-9.5” vintage compound radius and 21 medium vintage frets for a comfortable feel up and down. Hand-wound Tele pickups with a three-way switch and modern Tele wiring. Other features include an eight-hole clear polyurethane pickguard, ’67 Tele bridge with threaded steel saddles, Schaller® “F” tuning machines, bone nut, and wing string tree. Deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity included. Condition: Relic; Body: Alder; Neck: Riftsawn maple, mid 60s oval C carve (.850/.920), 7-25-9.5 compound radius; Nut: 1.650; Color: Black Paisley; Pickups: Custom Shop handwound Twisted Tele and Original Blackguard; Scale: 25.5; Orientation: Lefthanded (of course)

1966 was the first full year of the larger headstock on the Stratocaster—a significant enlargement that notably changed the look of the guitar and, many believe, enhanced its resonance. Under new CBS ownership since the previous year, Fender production was still top notch, and the company was still producing highly sought-after, high-quality instruments. The Custom Shop 1966 Strat Deluxe Closet Classic re-creates the sought after large-headstock Strat in detail, with the perfect customizations for players and aficionados alike. The two-piece select alder body wears a polished but slightly aged Deluxe Closet Classic lacquer finish, while the quartersawn maple neck has a ’66 “oval C” profile, 9.5”-radius round-lam rosewood fingerboard and 21 medium jumbo (6150) frets for classic comfortable play. Custom Shop hand-wound ’65 Strat gray-bottom pickups (with reverse-wound/reverse polarity middle pickup) deliver thick tone, with Vintage Modified #2 wiring with Tone-Saver bleed circuitry and five-way switching, all on a three-ply parchment pickguard. Other features include a Custom Shop vintage synchronized tremolo, vintage-style tuning machines, bone nut, and wing string tree with nylon spacer.
